My family and I had a wonderful week here at the Veneto. It's ideally placed in old town with everything there - shops, town square, minaret, fountain, Fortezza, excellent restaurants of all types just a couple blocks away. Our two rooms were very comfortable with one, room 103, housing me and my wife on a large bed on a loft level, and our two children on day beds on the room's entry level. My mother had a room of her own just around the corner with a small balcony. The restaurant is quite good and they provide an excellent breakfast each morning in the courtyard. The Veneto itself is beautifully restored with wonderful ambiance that does not compromise its comfort. The staff are extremely kind and have taken great care of us. Parking is three or so short blocks away and very convenient. I highly recommend the Veneto for a true old town experience.

We had the friendliest service and a great dinner here. The feta pie was phenomenal, make sure to start with that. For main course, we had seafood risotto and the ribeye which were both good. Super friendly waitress. Awesome history of the building. Make sure to sit out back in the garden

What a BEAUTIFUL HOTEL. And the restaurant is a MUST TRY even when not staying at the hotel. (Vegetarian friendly!) Hotel review - the staff was very lovely. Rooms were spacious & clean. Parking lots located about 2 minute walk on the Main Street which was convenient. Restaurant review - delicious food, good portions!

Beautiful hotel in the old town of Rethymno, in a former monastery. The rooms are fantastic and the restaurant is outstanding. We were lucky enough to discover old, autochthonous and new grape varieties and wines at a wine tasting with an accompanying menu. A great experience and highly recommended! Many thanks to the wonderful hosts!

Definitely the place you have to visit if you want to join good food, a nice ambiente and absolutely friendly staff. The restaurant is placed in the most beautiful area and street in rethymno, and the stuff is even going to take pictures of you if you want so. Here you can join rare greek food like wild goat or amazing different fresh fish and seafood. Beside a lot of viariety of wine you should try the ginger lemonade for sure.

Our brilliant waiter Cris guided us through a fabulous dinner at Veneto. The food was delicious and the setting was beautiful. We sat in the pretty courtyard, surrounded by hanging plants and a mini fountain. Cris was super helpful, talking us through the food menu and vegetarian options for my girlfriend. He also had expert knowledge of the wines on offer, and helped us pick something that suited our taste, having found other Greek wines too sweet. After dinner we cheers'd a glass of wine as Cris gave us insider tips on other food/drink spots in the town, and for our upcoming day trip to Preveli beach.

We went here for dinner on our last night in Crete. Beautiful setting with a small, but well judged menu. It’s perfect for couples, more restaurant like then the bustle of the tavernas which open out into the alleys. The goat dish and the moussaka were excellent. Also, the waiter was very good and recommended a cheaper wine than the one we originally ordered- always a plus!
